A wonderful stay for a few days, a minute’s walk to the beach and great access to local trails and other beaches. The Bach has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Great recommendations of things to do provided by the owner.

We had a lovely, relaxing time. Lil is a superb host who made us feel immediately at home. The accommodation unit has everything you need and is very comfortable. Incredible sunsets from the living room, great locations close by to visit and even a herd of friendly cows as close neighbours. It had it all. We had a great time. Thank you so much, Lil.

This apartment has got to be one of the best air BnB’s we have had. Lil was super friendly and very easy to communicate with and a great host. The apartment itself is superb, very clean and modern, we made great use of the BBQ on the deck and having breakfast with the neighboring cows while over looking Mt Manaia each morning was an highlight. Perfect place to base yourself for everything that Whangarei Heads have to offer. Will try and come back again soon.

Lil is a very caring and considerate host, who makes you feel most welcomed. Her place has everything you need for a comfortable holiday, which is located in one of the most prestine places in NZ.

"The Shores provides a phenomenal accommodation in a beautiful and special part of New Zealand. We stayed several weeks and found everything to be perfect. The apartment itself is top notch, extremely spacious, modern and comfortable in all ways. The location is outstanding, with gorgeous front-row views of Mt Manaia from the lounge and a peekaboo view of the harbour from the kitchen and front bedroom. Watching the cows in the pastures became a strangely fascinating pastime, but it’s hard to stay home when you can walk to Mt Manaia or Bream Head straight out your door or jump in your car and be at Ocean Beach for surfing in a matter of minutes. Whangarei itself is close enough for a big shop, but Parua Bay has all you need for quick groceries plus a delicious local coffee. And the icing on the cake is your delightful hosts Lil. She exudes positivity and a welcoming Kiwi spirit, and has thought of every last thing to make your stay enjoyable."

This place was located right in front of the beach. It is easy access to Te Whara track, boat ramp and shops. Nice and quiet, very clean, very comfortable for four of us. Highly recommended.

We stayed for six nights after New Year. Fabulous location, excellent modern apartment, well equipped, immaculate, comfortable beds and everything we needed. Lil a delightful host.
